On Tuesday 29 July, filmmaker Dame Gaylene Preston introduced the restoration of her long-form biographical drama, Bread and Roses. The screening at the Embassy Theatre was followed by a Q+A with the Dame herself. NZIFF celebrates the film's 30th anniversary after first screening it at NZIFF 1993.
